| | ShofarNexus™ was originally written in C# as it was solely targeted to the Microsoft .Net Framework. As ShofarNexus™ matured its dependency on the .Net Framework lessened. At that point the design was reevaluated to see if there would be gains to moving the code to C++ or even C. | | Code migration has started to break ShofarNexus™ into two parts. The underlying core is written in C++ and is dependent on no other code libraries. A wrapper with some additional functionality remains in C# to interface with the .Net world. | | ShofarEmbedded™ would then tie ShofarNexus™ to particular hardware and become a turnkey system or the core for additional applications. | | We estimate a six month project to do the complete migration of ShofarNexus™ and write the necessary parts of ShofarEmbedded™ to produce a functional product. | | The development is currently unfunded. We are considering relations with other organizations that would bring this to the market. | | Possibilities include funding from a CPU manufacturer in exchange for tying to the product to the specific vendor. Other relationships could be made with embedded systems manufacturers. | | The significant plus to ShofarPartners™ is that acquisition and operational costs for servers could be significantly reduced. | |
